Cbse Syllabus

What CBSE syllabus means? First we will discuss about what CBSE means, CBSE stands for ‘central board for secondary education ‘by this we mean that almost every school in India is affiliated to this board. In India we give more importance to our child education while looking for a good school we always look for everything it includes the board to which it is affiliated. In India almost every school is affiliated to Central Board Secondary Education. CBSE basically preferred by parents who might get shifted from place to place for the job purpose in India. CBSE syllabus is designed in such a manner that when a child changes his school he do not face problem to be the part of his next school. CBSE syllabus is less in volume in compare to any other board. By this we mean that a student studying in a school affiliated to Central Board Secondary Education and follow CBSE syllabus have less syllabus in volume. For example a student studying in a school where ICSE board has been followed the volume of syllabus is quite large as compare to CBSE syllabus.

What do we understand by syllabus? By the word we mean that what we are going to read and learn in our next whole year. From where are teachers get to know that what a child should be knowing for his next class. Here steps in CBSE syllabus, syllabus of CBSE in India gives teachers an introduction of what a child should know when he is in class 1. If there is no such board present who give this information to both parents and school then a chaos can be emerge because what a child should know is not decided. And being very possessive to our child we can start telling him about those things which he should know when he should be in class 5 not in class 3.

CBSE syllabus followed in India is more helpful to the students who want to become engineer or who want to go in medical profession. Syllabus of CBSE is well oriented for our aspiring medics and also for our engineers. It does not mean that CBSE syllabus in India is not for other students who have different profession in mind but syllabus of CBSE board is purely academic. CBSE board think like when a student is in school he should concentrate more in his studies but that does not mean it doing not allow any other kind of flexibility in his syllabus. Central Board Secondary Education design his syllabus for Indian school in such a manner which allows a student to satisfy his creative need also with his academic pursuit. Now a day’s Indian parents are changing their views regarding education but still for them academic means a student should study his subjects for eight hours in school and those subjects should comprise math and science in particular.

Get Help With 11 Standard CBSE Syllabus

The CBSE class 11th syllabus has been constructed by keeping in mind the betterment of the student and is very systematic and predictable.

The subjects that are been offered in class 11th syllabus are English Elective, Functional English. English core, Hindi core, Hindi optional, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering graphics, Home science, Agriculture, Computer science, Information practices, Multimedia and web technology, Economics, Business studies, Accountancy, Entrepreneurship, History, Political Science, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Creative writing and translation studies, Physical education, Fashion studies, Fine arts, Music, Dance, Heritage craft, Graphic design and Mass media studies.

All these subjects are divided under various fields that decide on the type of career a student wants to opt for. Likewise for doctor or bio- chemical knowledge, one should study medical, for engineering knowledge, one should opt for non medical section. For philosophical knowledge the humanities field is formed and for accountancy and business related knowledge the commerce section is assigned. All these sections have their specific set of subjects that are compulsory. Some of them might also have some subjects in common. This is due to the fact that some topics are to be taken up commonly. Like Physics and Chemistry are taken up both in medical and non medical sections. Similarly in some sections of commerce Mathematics is included and in some not. Language is the only subject that’s common to all but which language is opted or assigned to study depends on the decision of schools and the way they differentiate the sections mostly or else lastly on the student, if some of the subjects are kept optional then its student’s decision to choose appropriate one as per his desire, requirements.

What exactly a CBSE board is? (click here)

Subjects from class 11th syllabus are to be chosen very carefully as they are the ones which will decide on what other choices of profession thereafter a student can opt for. For example: if a student wants to do engineering and takes up commerce he or she cannot take up engineering later on. So choice of subjects is very crucial at this stage. Some schools allow you to change subjects even in class 12th but that’s not right as the basics are taken up in class 11th syllabus which the student has already missed and thus would not be able to cope with the studies and match other students’ levels for the same.

Class 11th Cbse syllabus is formed in such a way that it helps in growth of the child in early stages of career building as this is the time to make a strong base for him or her. Every topic covered at this level of study has its own importance. After the completion of this class, a student will be good enough with basics of the topics to be taken up in class 12. How to Get Cbse Syllabus Help

First let us discuss in brief about CBSE!

CBSE stands for Central Board of Secondary Education. It was set up by NCERT which means National Council of Educational Research and Training. The major objective of constituting CBSE was to operate a chain of central schools (Kendriya Vidyalaya), for the government employees who are working in transferable jobs that involve even mid – year movements. Many private schools have also been affiliated to CBSE as now – a – days, private sector employees are also moving from place to place for their jobs. The syllabus offered by CBSE is very well structured, organized and highly controlled. Also it is highly predictable. The curriculum is updated and revised timely. This keeps the current content to be in knowledge of the students. Day by day education is spreading and getting vast so the curriculum has to be revised timely so as to cover everything in a systematic way. Also, since things are advancing and the community is rising, the syllabus needs timely updating accordingly to include every aspect in a proper manner. For this, CBSE revise the already set curriculum from time to time. Sometimes it is carried over in a few years and sometimes even yearly. This depends on the happening of events that are affecting the previously laid down content and the topics that are covered or are required to be taken up or to be left out for advancement of education and knowledge of the students. CBSE has constructed syllabus for every class from class 1st to class 12th.

The entire curriculum laid down in CBSE Syllabus in India for every class is laid down in accordance with the ability of an average child who can learn all that stuff without keeping a burden on his shoulders. The more than average students are able to learn more while the weaker students have to practice more to stay in line. But weaker students are also been taken care of while the formation of the CBSE syllabus for various class. For the lower grades basics are been stressed on a lot. If the basics are not strong enough the growth of the child is diminished and he or she cannot do well in further classes. So the syllabus for lower level of classes by CBSE is made in such a way that even weaker students are not having much trouble in learning and grasping the best of knowledge about the contents being included. The syllabus of middle classes starts with application knowledge of everything a student is learning from basics to even new things. Everything taught is taken up in application manner as what can it be applied to, how it is applicable, how far things are applicable, if it is even applicable or not and so. But even the application knowledge is of direct approach. The higher classes are also on application based knowledge but they involve typical applications that are not so direct. Lot of understanding is required to apply the knowledge to such applications. This is so as higher classes are the end to school life. Thereafter college starts in which no stress on clearing basics is given and things are continued from the last level of senior secondary classes. The senior secondary classes of CBSE syllabus are the last stage of CBSE and the learning of basics and understanding them well.

Well students you can also test yourself by revising and solving the cbse free sample papers which makes you more confident.
