Cbse Syllabus

CBSE is the abbreviation for Central Board of Secondary Education. A Government organization NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) initiated the set-up of this board. The main goal with which CBSE was constituted was to run a chain of central schools also known as Kendriya Vidyalaya commonly for the government employees who are employed in transferable jobs that might involve even mid – year movements. Some of the private schools have also been getting board affiliations now – a – days since even private sector employees now – a – days are also moving from place to place for their jobs. The syllabus that this board offers is well structured, very much organized and highly controlled. It is also highly predictable at the same time.

The CBSE syllabus is updated and revised timely to keeps the current events and happenings in knowledge of the students. As the days are passing, education is getting vast and in the reach of even small areas, so the curriculum as well is required to be revised timely to cover everything in a systematic way. Since, things are getting advanced and the community is rising every day, the syllabus of CBSE board also needs timely updating accordingly to include every aspect appropriately. Thus, it revises the pre-set curriculum from time to time.

The central board has constructed syllabus for every class from class 1st to class 12th in an organized pattern. It also conducts board examinations every spring at the end of the terms of the classes 10th and 12th. The CBSE syllabus for boards is also laid down by the central board and is followed throughout all the government schools and the central board affiliated schools in India.

The whole of the curriculum set for CBSE Syllabus in India for all the classes is laid down keeping in mind the abilities and knowledge level of an average child for any class who can learn, understand and grasp all the stuff included the particular student’s class’s syllabus and that too without burdening his or her shoulders with the pressure of overloaded studies. The students who are quick learners are able to learn things more quickly and in a better way and the ones who are weaker will have to practice more to maintain their pace of studies at least with average students.

CBSE syllabus in India is set in such a way that it will help the growth of a child to initiate in the early phases as this is the right time to make a strong base for him or her for a good future. In the lower classes mostly the basics of the syllabus CBSE are been stressed upon a lot since if the basis of any concept is not strong and understood well, the student will lack behind with respect to the standards of the study level he or she should maintain and so he or she will not be able to perform well in higher classes.

Thus the contents of the syllabus for lower classes are so set by the board that even weak students will not have troubles in learning, understanding and grasping the best type of knowledge required about all the contents that are being included in the curriculum. Every topic that is covered in the lower classes has its own importance. For example: the knowledge of patterns, nouns, grammar of any language; the student can learn and understand such things at this level easily. After the term completion of lower classes, a student will also be good in simple calculations, also will be good in proper use of languages with an increased linguistic and also well organized in social behavior, etiquettes to some extent than before.

The contents of the syllabus of the middle level classes contains application knowledge of things that a student is learning starting from the basics to the new things as well. That is the applicative knowledge of the concepts already been taught to the student in addition to new concepts and their application are taught. Everything that is taught to the student is clarified in applicative manner likewise how it is applicable, what can it be applied to, if it is even applicable or not, the extent of its applicability etc. But the application knowledge is taken in direct approach only.

The syllabus at this level is so formed that it helps in using one’s mind to apply the knowledge of things to various applications of real world. So the applied use of knowledge is taught well and also been use in direct way, this implies, tough and twisted application based questions are not included here at all and only direct based applications are introduced and explained on the basis of the concept that are been taught.

The studies in higher classes are also application based but they involve more typical or complex or multiple applicative problems and practice that are not completely direct most of the times. A lot of understanding and proper knowledge of concepts is required for problems requiring applicative solutions. The syllabus of CBSE for higher classes is set in this way as higher classes are the last phase of school life. Thereafter the college life starts, where no stress is given on clearing the basic knowledge of things and the concepts are simply continued from the last level where they were left in the senior secondary classes (class 11 and 12).

The senior secondary classes of board are the final stage of CBSE syllabus in India and the learning and understanding of the basics well. The new knowledge of certain tougher concept, their direct and indirect applications are all included at this level only. The tougher topics which also form the basics of the knowledge that is required in that topic after school level are also included. So at this level, a student should be able to apply his or her knowledge to things in a good way so as to find a solution to given problem according to the level of the class the student in.

There are lot of stuffs in CBSE like cbse board papers, cbse sample papers and so on, for more help on CBSE related topics keep reading my blogs.

CBSE 6th Class Maths

CBSE is Central Board for Secondary Education which was initiated by NCERT (National Council for Educational Research and Training) for attaining the objectives which are interconnected. Some of the main objectives of CBSE are listed below:
  • To lay down the examination conditions and to conduct examinations on common scale,
  • To allot certificates of qualification to candidates who are qualified,
  • To meet educational requirements of students; specially whose parents are employed in transferable jobs,
  • To lay down the course or curriculum which is to be updated timely,
  • To raise the educational standards of the country.

The entire curriculum laid down in CBSE Syllabus in India for every class is laid down in accordance with the ability of an average child who can learn all that stuff without keeping a burden on his shoulders. The more than average students are able to learn more while the weaker students have to practice more to stay in line. But weaker students are also been taken care of while the formation of the CBSE syllabus for various class. For the lower grades basics are been stressed on a lot. If the basics are not strong enough the growth of the child is diminished and he or she cannot do well in further classes. So the syllabus for lower level of classes by CBSE is made in such a way that even weaker students are not having much trouble in learning and grasping the best of knowledge about the contents being included.

The syllabus of middle classes starts with application knowledge of everything a student is learning from basics to even new things. Everything taught is taken up in application manner as what can it be applied to, how it is applicable, how far things are applicable, if it is even applicable or not and so. But even the application knowledge is of direct approach. CBSE helps by providing with question papers that are similar to the original examination papers. These type of papers help students in preparing for exams in a better way and also in making self evaluation of their preparation and the level of studies of the student in accordance to the standards laid by CBSE.

These papers are based on the syllabus laid down by CBSE for a particular class and subject. These papers are also helpful in giving us the knowledge about which all topics have more chances to be included, the scoring pattern in exam, the kind of paper set up the student have to face and answer, the pattern that is to be followed in the examination, the most scoring topics, weightage of marks for included topics, the type of questions that might come in the actual exam.

Mathematics is a subject that requires a lot and lot of practice. One should be thorough with his or her concepts well. If the methods are not clear, it will get difficult to solve any question on the basis of it whether it is in CBSE class 6 maths or any other subject.
We all know that the key to success is only practice and knowledge and practicing on our own is clearly not at all enough in the tough competition that we face today. Thus the students are required to learn and understand things properly and also to practice more and more. This will ensure that they stay ahead in the competition or race of success.

A student should first practice the topics on his own. Then, once completed he or she should revise the whole of syllabus before starting to attempt any question paper of class 6 CBSE maths. Once the revision is completed, a student may attempt the paper. When the test is done, the answers can be verified by matching the answers with the ones provided by CBSE with every question paper of maths CBSE class 6. This will help the student to know his or her stronger and weaker parts of the subject for which he or she attempted the test. It does not matter that the student has practiced a lot before attempting the question paper but the result of the attempt will tell actually the level of his or her preparation.

Thus, student is able to practice more the parts in which he or she scored less in. So, by improving the skills in the topic in which the student scored less and required more attention on, he or she can now get good marks in the actual exam. After the successful completion of a paper and then verifying the result, a student will get to know what he or she has learned in actual, how much he or she has understood, what more is needed to be done, what is left and which topics are needed to be practiced more on.

CBSE Sample Papers for Class 9

Before we begin with class 9 CBSE sample papers there are two questions that come in mind. One is about CBSE and the other one is about sample papers.
CBSE means Central Board of Secondary Education. But why is this board required, who started it are the next questions that arise. It was set up by the National Council of Education and Research Centre (NCERT). NCERT started the CBSE board with a very important objective in addition to fulfillment of some other goals as well. Government employees get transferred many a times for their jobs to places, which can hamper the studies of their children because they might shift even in mid-term. To avoid this, it was set up that organized a common curriculum for all classes in all government schools. So, when the syllabus is same throughout the country the parents do not have to worry much for moving places for their jobs as the studies of their children would not be hampered and they can continue from where they have left.

Even private schools are getting central board affiliations for giving the students better knowledge. The curriculum led by secondary education board for all the classes 1st to 12th for all subjects under study is same throughout the country. Classes 9th to 12th are known as board classes and specially class 10th as secondary board class and class 12th as senior secondary board class. This is so as central board conducts board examination at the end of academic session of classes 10th and 12th every year on the successful completion of which the board gives away to the successful candidates with qualification certificate. The syllabus so set by the central board is very much controlled, predictable and organized. For better academic studies and excellence it is revised and updated timely, so as to keep the studies advanced according to today’s world.

Sample is a copy of something that is exactly like the original one. So sample papers are the similar copies of examination papers. They contain questions that are likely to come in the actual examinations only.
Central board helps the students in their practice by providing them with sample papers according to their classes in all the subjects under study. The sample papers are complimented with the answers as well so that a student also has the correct solution to verify his or her solution with. These papers are available on the website and at general stationary shops as well.

The CBSE sample papers class 9 is completely based on the class 9 syllabus set by the board. The subjects that are included in class 9th syllabus are Science, Mathematics, Social Science, English, HGEP, Hindi and Sanskrit. The class 9 CBSE sample papers are available in all these subjects to the student. But does this really help the students?

The sample papers for CBSE class 9 helps the student to practice more. Once the student is thorough with his or her preparations he or she can make an attempt of the sample paper of that subject and when it is completed the student can verify the answers of the sample paper for class 9 CBSE attempted by the student. This will help the student is making a self based evaluation of his or her preparation level along with his or her weaknesses and strengths. So the student can work upon the topics which require his or her more attention and practice more questions on the same from various books and also the ones given in CBSE class 9 sample papers. In the end let us have a look at the syllabus of all the subjects in brief.

The Science subject of class 9th syllabus includes the topics study of food and its various types, different kinds of materials used by people for example materials in clothes, little about atoms, knowledge about the biological diversities, about moving of substances, knowledge of the things that are moving, different characteristics of people and their ideas, about types of work and its calculation, energy and its calculation, flotation basics, various natural phenomena as well. Also some knowledge about the natural resources is included. All the topics are divided in three categories namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology as per their behavior and type and so are studied separately under each section.

The subject Math covers the topics like solving of various types of equations in one variable, two variables, quadratic equations etc. and their real life applications, introduction to trigonometry, geometry including: circles, triangles, hyperbolas, parabolas, quadrilaterals, etc., constructions of triangles, their congruence etc., more on quadrilaterals etc., measurement on the basis of real world application knowledge like of surface areas and volumes, etc. Each of the topics included in class 9th math form a strong base for future learning of the student in math as only the basics of these topics are explained along with their application in real world. Real life based problems are stressed so as to improve the practical and application knowledge of student.
In languages English and Hindi stresses much on writing knowledge as of like letters of different kinds, articles, notices, passages, story writing etc. These are all important to know because they are required in daily practice for the lifetime of an individual. The Sanskrit language is taught only at basic level of it since it forms a good career option for some students generally in education sector. This is a subject in option with Hindi, that is, the student has to make a choice in between Hindi or Sanskrit and choose either one of them to study in class 9th.
The social science subject consists of world history, political science knowledge at basic level, some parts of economic theory and also the knowledge about geographical structure of the world in brief, that is to begin with. All of these sections are sub divided into various topics under study for class 9 after constituting the basics of what the student will have to study in higher classes under the particular sections or subjects separately and in detail.

Cbse Class 11 Question Paper

Class 11 is the class where we found a platform for our dreams. Or we can say that we add wings to our dream by choosing the right subject for us. In class 11 the subjects we choose to determine our potential by doing a lot of practice. In class 10 we had subjects which are with us from class 1 so in this class we have an opportunity to choose from a whole wide range. We have to choose a particular stream in class 11 because on basis of these subjects we will be deciding our profession. CBSE fabricate the syllabus for class 11 with the help and advice of experts who are well known in education field. Sequence is always followed in syllabus which is designed by Central Board Secondary Education. Continuous and comprehensive education becomes the motive of CBSE board.

When we are in lower classes like in class 9 or class 8 we learn very basic of everything it can be of math or of science or any other subject but in class 11 it is not like that. The subjects we choose is more defined and gave us more practical knowledge about the facts which we study throughout the year. CBSE is also consider to be one of the elite board for our education so to maintain his prime he offer sample papers, guess papers, previous year question papers, and assignment sheets also.

Our article here is for previous year question which is also provides by Central Board Secondary Education on its portal.  Students who appear in boards exam needs a very firm base of the subjects which they appear in exam. So for that base they need a lot of questions for practice. So CBSE gave them an ocean of question paper from where they can start practicing very first day when they decided what subjects they will be having in class 11. These question paper gave students an idea of how the questions can be formed and how to write them. These question papers also develop a speed of writing in students which is very essential for them. To complete whole paper students get three hours only and if they really want to complete their exam in that limited time then they must understand the importance of time. Solving a lots of question paper for class 11 make their base for 12 board exam.

These question papers are a must for the students who want to taste success. We should not mix sample papers and question papers. Sample papers are basically those papers which are like sample of a bigger thing. Here sample papers are for the different subjects. But question papers are those set of questions which had already appeared in exam. These question papers gives us everything which we have to know before going in for exam. Like they told us the pattern of question, they tell us which topics are asked more frequently. CBSE Question papers for class 11 also solve these queries from the mind of student.
